How to feed the World
With the worlds population climbing every day, and stable or declining arable land, how are we going to feed the mouths of tomorrow? Thomas Malthus predicted the same catastrophe almost 200 years ago. Over the years many have discounted the Malthusian Dilemma, citing that our society does not face widespread hunger.
Sadly we do have significant hunger worldwide, but the main force that has stopped hunger is the use of sophisticated new agriculture technology. Food Economics and Consumer Choice by Jeffery Simmons shares the same thoughts and how ag-tech and biopharmacuticals can help to feed the world.
